India's leading business brands, category by category
The companies that build India rarely advertise to the people who use what they make. They sell to utilities, factories, hospitals, ports, banks and the state. Business MegaBrands is where they are measured.
- 1,280 brands in the cohort
- 250 categories
- 21 sectors
- 1 Business MegaBrand per category
What Business MegaBrands is
Business MegaBrands is an annual research index of India's leading business brands, published by WCRC (World Centre for Research and Consulting). The 2026–27 edition evaluates a locked cohort of 1,280 purely Indian business brands in 250 categories on WCRC's 50-parameter brand evaluation model, and names one Business MegaBrand in each category. Inclusion in the cohort and selection as a Business MegaBrand carry no fee.
How the 2026–27 edition works
The cohort was locked in October 2026. From here nothing is added and nothing is removed for the year — that is what makes the comparison fair. Between November 2026 and February 2027, WCRC evaluates every brand on the same 50 parameters, combining public evidence with research conducted together with the brands themselves. The 250 Business MegaBrands are announced in 2027.

Why business brands need their own index
Most brand indices are built around consumers. They ask who people recognise, trust and buy. That works for soap and smartphones. It misses the transformer maker whose product sits in every substation, the API manufacturer whose molecules are in the medicines on the chemist's shelf, the port operator whose name a shopper will never hear.
Business brands earn their standing differently — with engineers who specify them, procurement heads who shortlist them, lenders who finance them and governments that contract them. Business MegaBrands reads that standing on its own terms.
Built on the MegaBrands method
Business MegaBrands uses the same 50-parameter evaluation model as the MegaBrands 501, applied to business markets. 110 brands sit in both cohorts. MegaBrands 501
